Assessment Scenario:

The WLV Student’s Union have recently opened a bar on City campus! The bar provides an ideal space for a diverse range of events to take place. The management team have recently published an advert inviting local event managers to apply for use of the space. You are tasked with writing a proposal and plan for an event of your choice. You should be as creative as possible when designing your event, utilising theory, and contemporary research to justify your choices. Your report should cover the following areas:

1. An event title, purpose/aim of the event

2. SMART objectives for the event

3. Assessment of event feasibility

4. Identification and discussion of key stakeholders

5. Budget with discussion/justification of choices

6. Pre-event plan

7. Event Plan/Timetable

8. Post-event plan

You may also like to consider including the following as appendices:

• SWOT analysis

• PESTLE analysis

• Risk assessment

• Gantt Chart

• Artefacts e.g., marketing materials, floor plans etc.

Your work should have a full reference list according to Harvard conventions. This should include sources from the module reading list.
